I told you guys I would make some calls. And although most of my calls were unrelated, we now have Cross-play on PS4 folks!
Starting today Sony will be running an open Beta for Fortnite. The Beta will allow PS4 players to play alongside Xbox, PC, Switch, IOS, Android, and anywhere else Fortnite is playable. It took a little time but they realized it was the best move. I won’t say my letter had anything to do with it but it was a valiant effort.
“We recognize that PS4 players have been eagerly awaiting an update, and we appreciate the community’s continued patience as we have navigated through this issue to find a solution,” says Sony’s PlayStation chief, John Kodera.
Now once Call of Duty Blackout gets crossplay support we will finally see where the better gamers play! (Obviously Playstation.)

Ayyy Dios Mio.
Another week, another slow stream of gaming news. This week, however, is slightly different. I turned 26 today and because of the distractions of my last couple days being 25, the Lucky Gamer Recap will be a bit delayed. Forgive me. Or don’t, that’s cool too. Regardless, not going to be the most exciting LGR cause it’s mostly bad news. To make up for it, I thought i’d harness the power of Grandma’s ability to prevent me from doing the one thing I wanted to do on my big day, play video games. Here are a few Latino (although they may be true for everyone) Gamer Problems.
No screen is ever big enough.
When i was younger I would always tell my self “One day I’ll have a screen big enough to be able to play and no one could pass by and interrupt my game!” 20 years later I live on my own I have a Beautiful 65 inch 4K screen and yet my grandmother can still manage to come over and walk by and block the entire screen! She could be sitting back not doing a damn thing the whole time in my house but as soon as I fire up the PS4 whammy the floor is dirty and needs to be swept, the TV console needs to be dusted, and for some strange reason the ceiling above the TV needs to be mopped. I just don’t understand.
On that note, no speaker is loud enough either.
While I’m on the topic of spontaneous decision making lets address volume. Latino households are typically super loud. I mean like obnoxiously loud. So loud that a room of three sounds like a stadium of 100. Come on people get it together but I live alone so that shouldn’t be an issue anymore right? Wrong! My grandmother will come visit and then as soon as I fire up the PS4 she remembers that she needs to make what seems to be the most important phone call of her whole life. Which would be cool if she could keep her damn voice down. She yells her entire conversation as if she is physically trying to put her voice through the phone and directly into the other persons ear. Like the other person can’t just raise the volume on their phone. I promise the other person can raise the volume on her phone mama.
Every console belongs to Nintendo.
Through out my entire life I’ve been more of a Playstation Gamer. Fanboy alert! But I’ve owned many other consoles and at times owning every console within a generation, however in my grandmas eyes all I have is a bunch of differently shaped Nintendo’s. Not even a specific Nintendo no she just believes the name of any video game console is a Nintendo. PS4? Nintendo. Xbox 360? Nintendo. Nintendo 64? Juego. Oh yea I forgot to mention she doesn’t call Nintendo consoles “Nintendo”, she just calls those games.
Everything is dirty.
By now i’m sure you may have noticed a recurring issue that my grandma has with my house, if not let me tell you. Whenever I’m too far invested in a video game she also seems to far invested in the belief that my house is filthy. I mean the floor, the walls, the ceiling literally anything she can reach that happens to be near me playing a video game needs to be thoroughly cleaned which leads me to believe that either A) my house is filthy or B) my house is filthy however only when I’m trine crush skulls and rack body counts.
I really don’t understand why I need to go to the store right now.
And finally, perhaps the biggest issue on the list. When its time to play video games its also time to go shopping. Grandma needs some Adobo for the meal she’s making next week but it has to be bought today. She needs some stuff for her vacation in October but today at this exact moment in the middle of May is the best day to get that shopping done. Or perhaps its time to go buy more cleaning supplies as I have mysteriously run out all of a sudden. Game time though, completely out of the question.
There you have it folks, just a few of the wild shenanigans Latino Gamers have to deal with it. Do you have any different ridiculous issues? If so make sure to leave them in the comment section below! Subscribe and thanks for letting me vent.

To Dy For
Dynasty Warriors 9 is coming to a console near you on February 8th, 2018, which is right around the corner. I figured it would be a little fun to drop a list of 9 reasons I feel you need to be excited about one of my favorite game series of all time. I’ll never forget the first time encountering the mighty Lu-Bu or the sadness I felt watching Zhuge Liang die of illness only to watch Sima Yi take over the world. Aaahhhh good times. Anyway here are 9 reasons to be excited for Dynasty Warriors 9:
With a roster of over 40 unique characters how could you not be excited? Like to play as a guy with a massive sword? Covered! Want to play as a cute girl who clearly isn’t dressed for the battle? Covered! Need to get your fix of playing as a guy who just might be to old for this war but everyone seems to be mega cool with it? You’re covered. Characters galore keeps up fighting games, cause this fighting game is kicking your ass when it comes to character selection.
I think its pretty clear that you’ll be playing this game for a while with over 40 unique characters to play as but the truth is thats just the start. In previous games there have been over 30 unique maps for battles taking place with the option to play on opposite sides of the war. Mathematically that makes 60 different potential missions to play and thats not including the different outcomes on each map based on the incredible (or terrible) decisions you make throughout the battle. Replay Value? Check.
And now the juicy stuff. How many kills do you have in Call of Duty? Oh 300? That’s cute. I’ll rack up 300 in 2 minutes in Dynasty Warriors. Seriously, thats not even a joke! There are missions, challenges, and secret items you can unlock by slaughtering ridiculous amounts of enemies in hilariously short time frames. Take that MLG!
Historical Fiction Realness
I love games with great story lines and whats better than a game with 40 unique story lines that are also rooted in fantastic educational goodness. Historical facts people thats what we’re talking about here. Do you know anything about the three kingdoms period of China. You know back when they had a civil war that lasted longer than how many years America has existed period. Well heres your chance to get your foot in the door. Whether its to make yourself a more knowledgeable person (you go girl) or if you just want to school your modern history teacher next time he gives you an F (sorry your paper sucks); play some damn Dynasty Warriors and get your life together.
Armors, Weapons, & Items Oh My!
Hey, I know what you’re thinking, You don’t need anymore convincing to play this series but you know what? You made it this far so might as well stick it out till the end. Let’s talk about all the armor, weapons, and items you can collect in this amazing game. Each character (remember there’s at least 40 of these guys) has his own super ultra mega rare ultimate weapon and then a bunch of basic weapons we don’t really care about but its there to collect dammit. And its the same for armor and items too. Oh and that reminds me did I mention…
Massive Body Counts
Body Counts! Like massive body counts. I mean I was playing Dynasty Warriors 6 or 7 or something idk maybe it was 5 but anyway I racked like 4000 kills in like an hour. god it was so satisfying! I mean I could have ended the mission as any point but i didn’t I kept one gate open so enemies would keep spewing and i could keep killing.
Epic Strategic (or Brute Force) Battles
What are gates you ask? well thats a great segway to reason number 7. Strategy. every mission has a bunch of soldiers on the map and just as many different ways for you to navigate the map to either end the mission quickly, super effective for doing stupid things like play on chaos mode with a weak character, or you can take your time executing effective strategies that allow you to control the shape of the battle and minimize how many of your partners die.
Name 3 games, with this many characters and weapons, that allow you to ride horses whenever you want. I’ll wait… …didn’t think so, moving on.
Seriously Massive Body Counts!
If you’re still reading this instead of playing a dynasty warriors game, you’re tapped. I mean like full on belong in a loony bin with a straight jacket type crazy. Dynasty Warriors is perfect for letting your inner crazy out as it allows you to rack up tons kills. The body count just grows and its so damn satisfying. If you have stress issues or an awful job where you hate your co workers don’t go crazy and hurt anyone. Just play some dynasty warriors instead.
Those are 9 reasons you need to be excited for Dynasty Warriors 9. Make sure you like and subscribe to our channel for more amazing news, videos, and games you should be excited for! Let me know what I should be excited for in the comments below!
Did we mention there’s 40 characters?
